Art Deco Chinese Black Lacquer and Gilt Gold decorated Four-Panel Screen.
This is an Art Deco period screen (1920-1940) that features four lacquered panels with gilt decorations. The front of the screen depicts three half-round trees with two songbirds, as well as a scroll leaf design and a tree trunk pattern of beautiful soft curved lines as grass the reverse of the screen depicts a foliate scene of eight yellow roses with leaves and several branches, all supported by metal wrapped feet on each panel. Each panel measures 16″ across and 72″ Tall.

The Condition is good. There are scratches and scuffs, small slight chip losses, and slight minor losses to the lacquer finish especially along the top and bottom does not distract from the overall beauty of this piece.
